Welcome to fourth grade!
Check back here, daily, for homework assignments, news, photos and videos, etc. Please contact me at [email protected]. I check email, often.
I'm looking forward to meeting all the new fourth graders.
We will be starting a new math series called "Math Expressions" and will no longer be using "Everyday Math". The new Common Core Standards will soon replace the Michigan GLCEs (our current education standards). What does this mean for our kids? They will learn core concepts much more in-depth and they will be expected to apply their newly-acquired knowledge in real-life situations and scenarios. In Language Arts, there will be a stronger emphasis on non-fiction reading material. Personally, non-fiction is one of my favorite genres and I expect we will have loads of fun, this year.
